Great stuff at the Vioxx Trial

Attorney Mark Lanier continued to hammer at the first Merck executive he got on the stand.

At issue was the matter of a research report that showed Vioxx was safe, but which it was revealed a scientist with a dissenting view was removed as an author and those views were omitted, prior to publication of the report.

Lanier is hammering on the theme of intimidation and cover up, but the big test is going to be linking causation. Fascinating stuff. We need to get someone down in the court room to send up reports.
